The FTS Globalstar satellite modems
provide two way data communication throughout the Globalstar coverage area. The Globalstar satellite system provides data and voice communication in most of North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, parts of Asia, and Australia - over 100 countries!
The Globalstar comes standard with an RS-232 interface, offering simple and flexible connection to monitoring equipment, SCADA equipment, and other devices. The modem is intended for all-season, outdoor installation in the toughest field conditions, from the Canadian North to the equator. The electronics are packaged in a rugged waterproof keyway mount aluminum case with military style connectors. The low power demands, automatic re-initialization capabilities, and continuous self-monitoring of modem operation make the Globalstar ideal for remote site locations.
