The FTS Heavy-Duty Wind Direction Sensor is a rugged sensor that accurately and reliably measures wind direction under adverse conditions.

The FTS Heavy-Duty Wind Direction Sensor is specifically designed for remote, unattended monitoring applications where the sensor is likely to encounter high winds and heavy icing conditions.
The two part wind vane is connected by a unique 10 slotted shaft coupler to a precision wire wound potentiometer. Sensor output is an accurate mechanical average of the wind direction. These features decrease sensor wear and contribute to the longevity of the device. An orientation fixture facilitates accurate field alignment.
The Sensor is manufactured from stainless steel and anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance, durability and long life. The sensor is equipped with a quick connect shielded sensor cable.
