The FTS Heavy-Duty Wind Speed Sensor is specifically designed to accurately and reliably measure wind speed under severe in remote locations, including high winds and icing. The sensor has a range of 0 to 150 mph, and a built in skirt which allows continued operation with up to 2″ of ice load.
The sensor is fitted with robust aluminum cups and a sealed magnetic reed switch which produces a series of contact closures at a rate proportional to wind speed. The sensor is manufactured from aluminum and stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long life. It is also equipped with a quick connect shielded sensor cable.
