The RG-T Rain Gauge is an all-metal, high precision tipping bucket rain gauge with exceptional calibration retention.

The RG-T’s mounting base and integral leveling system make it fast and easy to correctly install and level the gauge, or to attach it to an alternate support structure.  The tipper bucket rides on shock-mounted jeweled bearings, ensuring long lasting operation and sensitive action to accurately capture even very small rain events.   The RG-T can be calibrated in imperial or metric units.

The RG-T base and the support posts for the tipper’s jeweled bearings are precision cast as a single structure, providing maximum vibration resistance and long term calibration retention.   Screens in the funnel and over the base plate water outlets help seal out spiders and insects.  The cable is sheathed in braided stainless steel, to protect it from animal damage, and terminates in a waterproof circular bayonet connector for use with FTS dataloggers (optionally available without military connector for use with other dataloggers).
